In Japanese guide books they talk about good parks to bask under cherry-blossoms or the one good sushi restaurant that all tourists should visit in the middle of nowhere. What I'm talking about is Tokyo, Japan, one of the craziest places in the world, in all it's sexual activity and glitter. The smell of designer perfume, cheap liquor and cigarettes mixed in with all the pollution will leave you lusting for more, once you arrive in Tokyo and see the crowds of Japanese girls you'll be thankful you've read this before hand.
Starting point
In everything I write I stress more than anything fashion and good looks when you are in Japan, for obvious reasons, you need attention, you need people approaching you and wanting to make contact with you.
Before you leave for Japan have business cards printed. You don't need to have a company. Just basic information will work. Business cards make networking with other people personal, not just professional.
You should only wear expensive looking clothes like velour sets, matching tank top short sets, anything over the top or designer.
Take condoms you are comfortable with with you. The only time you shouldn't wear condoms is if the Japanese girl has millions of dollars or she is a celebrity.
Documentation through film and photograph are a must, no matter how annoying it is to carry your cameras around. If you don't film, you'll regret it in the future. If you document your experience, you'll be able to relive it all for the rest of your life.
Take a descent amount of money with you even though you won't need it. If you are staying at a hotel than take (on top of the amount it'd cost for the hotel,) approximately $900.00 for every two weeks, this includes food, drink, plenty of spending money and transportation (don't ever take a taxi, study the JR (pronounced the letters JR and not "junior,") train system online before leaving. It'll (taking the train,) save you a lot of money. For example a $15.00 taxi ride will be $2.00 by train. And also, in the train there are Japanese girls. If you are able to hustle Japanese girls then you could get by for a lot less than $900.00. Most Japanese girls will let you stay at their apartments, houses or in my case, mansions, which will save you the costs of sleeping in a hotel.
Best time to go to Tokyo
November is the best time to go to Tokyo because the weather is perfect, a little chilly at times but not too chilly, never freezing and all the Japanese girls are wearing, what I've been told, "next years mini skirts," to show that they are on top of fashion.
November is also the perfect time to go to Tokyo because every Japanese girl wants a boyfriend for Christmas and this is when they really start thinking about it.
November is also the best time to go to Tokyo because it doesn't rain and the weather is ideal for filming videos. I was in Tokyo in November 2005 and a girl I had been with invited me to the Fast and the Furious 3: Tokyo Drift wrap up party. In November 2001 I met Tom Green in the streets of Shibuya filming for MTV. In November 2002 Mariah Carey was filming a music video and MTV from America filmed her. Then on E! Entertainment's show Celebrity Uncensored they had paparazzi fly to Tokyo, Japan, to film Mariah Carey filming for her video and I think VH1's (Inside) Out: Nicky Hilton, which was the greatest footage I've ever seen someone else get in Tokyo, Japan, was filmed in November too.
November is also the perfect time to go to Japan because nobody goes to Japan in November! All thanks to Thanksgiving and people needing to be back at work after their Summer vacations. Plane tickets are the cheapest they will be all year. When I went in November 2005 I got my round trip plane ticket to Tokyo for $393 dollars and that was with TAXES!
